Director of Performing Arts and Music Teacher, UWC Adriatic

Christoph received his first musical training as a member of St. Thomas' Boys Choir in Leipzig, Germany. He went on to study Music at King's College, Cambridge where he was also a member of King's College Choir. As a soloist, Christoph has performed in opera productions, concerts and recitals all over the world, has recorded more than 60 CD's and DVD's and worked with some of the leading conductors of his time. In 2015 he decided to shift his focus to teaching Music.

An appointment from 2015 to 2017 at the International School Dhaka in Bangladesh allowed him to combine teaching with his interest to explore other cultures. From 2017 to 2022 he worked at UWC Changshu China, first as Head of Arts Department and then as Dean of Faculty as part of the School Leadership Team. He started IB Music at UWC CSC, established Choir and Orchestra, and initiated regular concerts at the College. In August 2022 he joined UWC Adriatic as Director of Performing Arts and Director of ICMA (International Community Music Academy).

“As Nietzsche said: 'without Music, life would be a mistake'. I want to make my small contribution so that life at UWC Adriatic is not a mistake”.
