Eligibility Criteria

Applicants applying through the National Committee of Cote d'Ivoire must meet the following criteria:

• to be of Ivorian nationality
• to be 16 years old or 17 years old on September 1st of the school year for which they are applying
• to be in 10th or 11th grade

Applicants can only apply through a national committee or registration process - parallel applications will result in disqualification.

Selection

In September of each year, CN receives offers of scholarships and bursaries from the UWC International Bureau.
The selection consists first of all in a preselection based on the academic performances. Successful applicants (usually between 20 and 30) are invited to participate in an interview, which takes place in March of each year.
Maintenance is the keystone of the selection process. This is the opportunity to know the candidates and evaluate their potential to be part of the UWC movement.
During the interviews, the candidates are put at ease and encourage to relax so that they can present themselves in an authentic way and thus, to share at best their motivation. The ultimate goal of the interview is to assess whether the candidate will be able to integrate harmoniously into an international environment and share the values ​​of UWC.
Following these interviews, the committee meets and deliberates. We then contact your parents to agree on the college we propose and the financial conditions.
Following this agreement, we must apply to the college (a refusal is very rare) and it is only when we have its agreement (end of April) and a convention on the payment of tuition fees will be signed that your selection is final.
Once selected, an agreement found with your parents on the financial conditions and your application accepted by the college, you will have a registration file to fill in directly with the college and a contract to be signed with UWC Cote d'Ivoire. This contract will commit you for two years, since the International Bac is a program that is done in two years.
